Water is the source of life, the key of production and the foundation of ecosystem. China is advancing national water network development, urban-rural water integration, integrated water environment management and smart water upgrades. With the Water Supply Regulations coming into force in 2026, the sector is entering a new era of legal, standardised and intelligent development. As coordinated development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region deepens, growing demand for water resource optimisation, water ecology restoration and water supply and drainage upgrades is creating broad opportunities for innovation and cooperation across the water industry.

Driven by national strategy and industry demand, the 2026 Tianjin International Water Technology Expo (WTE), organised by National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and Grandeur International Exhibition Group, will be held on 16–18 September 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Tianjin).
